Wedding Card #2

This card is for my boss. I am showing pictures of what it looks like when opened. I had to create space for 75 people to sign. I think it turned out well.

Weddings All Around

My boss and my coworker are both getting married (not to each other, but both weddings are soon). I love weddings, the romance and happiness that surrounds not only the couple but each person who witnesses the event is amazing.

Here is the card my coworker will receive.
I printed the saying on Vellum on my computer and overlayed it on my stamped cardstock. The pear is from the SU Level 2 Hostess set, Infinite Wisdom. I used Old Olive ink and cardstock and watercolored the image using my inkpads and aqua painter.
What do you think?

Back from vacation

Well, vacation is over. I have to admit, I didn't do much stamping over my Spring Break. I did do a lot of cleaning though. My gardens are looking pretty good. I weeded most of them and now I am all scratched from pruning my rose bush. The thing is a monster, but has the most beautiful pink roses. I am still thinking of ideas for cards for my classes I will be teaching. I ordered a bunch of new cardstock, so now I have a bunch of colors to use. . .I was very limited before.

Here is another quick little card using the SAB All About Scallops set.

I'll be on Spring Break this week, so I may not get the chance to post much. Several of you have asked for a tutorial on making those 3-D stars so I will work on putting one together. Keep checking back for the tutorial!

I've been tagged!

I can't believe it, but I've been tagged! Debby, from Debby's Stampin' Heaven, tagged me!

I am so honored!

Okay, here are the rules.

  • 1. Link to the person that tagged you and leave a comment on their Blog.

  • 2. Post the rules on your Blog.

  • 3. Share 7 random facts about yourself on your Blog

  • 4. Tag 7 random people, linking to their Blog.

First, seven facts about me.

  1. I really like being a Guidance Counselor. I like talking to kids about college planning, I love working on college applications, editing essays, reviewing transcripts, helping with resumes and brochures. What can I say. . . I love it!

  2. I have 2 dogs. I black lab, named Maggie who lays around all day like a piece of furniture, and a 1 year old pup named Sally. Sally is half yellow lab and half Saint Bernard. She's very cute, but very evil.

  3. Twins are hard work. I mean it: double the tears, double the mud, double the dishes, double the wishes that. . .

  4. . . .I get a new dishwasher with my tax refund!

  5. I like working in my gardens. We live on 60 acres and this year will probably plant 1-2 acres of veggies. We have a local farmer who rents out the rest of the land to grow clover for his beef cattle. Mostly, however, I like flowers!

  6. I have about 10 scrapbooks that I have started but never finished. My twins are 3 1/2 and I still don't have any of their baby pictures off the computer!

  7. My mom will be moving to Central New York within the next month to be closer to my family. It will be great to have her close by.

Whew! I did it. . .

Now, I get to pick 7 bloggers!

  1. Danielle Loudes from Fat Cat Stamper

My big guy just turned six, so we had a birthday celebratio at our local bowling alley. It is very fun to watch little kids bowl. For some, the ball was bigger than they were!

Reach for the Stars

I just love stars, and I love the Star Punches. Give them dimension by scoring and folding at each point, then attach with a foam dot.

Back to Stampin'

It seems like it has been a long time since I posted. I think I may have made up for it. I made a bunch of cards the last couple of days. I am trying to think about what I want my peeps to do at my stampin' class I will be teaching. Here are some of my ideas.

This one uses several punches, 1", scallop, and corner rounder for the bottom scallops. I also used white craft ink and added the blue glitter to it. It was then heat set with a heat tool.
This uses a water spritzing technique. I used markers to color the stamps then spritzed with water to get a water color look. You need to use glossy cardstock for this. The little flowers have silver eyelets set in their centers and are actually raised with foam mounting squares.
This card also uses several punches.
This one is dry embossed on the red cardstock with flowers, although it is hard to see from the picture. I watercolored the flowers using my stamp pads and a blender pen.
That's all I have now, I'll be posting more tomorrow. I have to take some more pictures.
TTFN,
Carol
